Foley Founders Bond
The Foley Founders Club (FFC) has been blessed with a unique bond, rooted in a love story that began with the marriage of Ed and Lanie Moses in 1969. Their union brought forth five sons, whose friendship grew stronger than mere kinship. Each of these brothers found love, started their own families, and together they raised 15 grandchildren, representing the next generation of the Moses family.
2019
Scottish Highlands Clarity
In 2019, the FFC traveled to Scotland, where we explored the highlands and toured the Royal Lochnagar and Torabhaig distilleries. The breathtaking beauty of the Scottish countryside, coupled with a refreshing dip in Loch Ness, brought clarity and focus to our vision.

Dream to Distill
In 2017, the FFC embarked on a memorable journey to Ireland, visiting the Teeling and Dingle whiskey distilleries. These magical trips, filled with music and unforgettable moments, deepened our connections and sparked a shared dream: to one day distill our own whiskey.
2022
From Vision to Distillery
By 2022, that vision became a reality with the establishment of Moses Mountain Spirits, LLC, a New York-based Farm Distillery. Nestled in a picturesque countryside, blessed with pure water and fertile farmlands, we began crafting our own spirits, using locally sourced malted barley and corn. In 2023, Moses Mountain Spirits LLC returned to Ireland to visit the Kilbeggan, Tullamore D.E.W., and Old Bushmills distilleries.
The challenges of the past few years could have dampened our spirits, but instead, they strengthened the bonds within the Moses family. Countless joyful days and nights spent at Otisco Lake reaffirmed our core belief that family is life’s greatest treasure. The FFC’s shared passion for travel, good spirits, and laughter culminated in the creation of Moses Mountain Spirits, LLC.
Milestone: Foley & MacDowell
Our journey reached a milestone on January 31, 2023, when we corked our first barrel of Irish-inspired American Single Malt Whiskey, named “Foley”. Our second barrel, “MacDowell,” was corked on July 2, 2024. We continue to refine our whiskey recipes, alongside the development of our premium vodka brand, Pharaoh Vodka.
